Passport Funding

The Passport funding program is a reimbursement program that helps adults with developmental disabilities in Ontario, 18 years of age and older, to access services and supports. The program is funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) and is managed by Developmental Services Ontario (DSO) and regional Passport Agencies.

Passport Funding can be used for daily living activities and participation in the community such as classes, recreational programs, education, and person-directed planning. It can also be used to hire a support worker and for temporary respite to provide relief for caregivers. The ministry recently expanded the list of eligible expenses in response to COVID-19. New Passport program guidelines now available

The Ministry has updated the Passport program guidelines to reflect changes to the program that have occurred since 2014, and to introduce a limit on reimbursement for live event tickets.

Temporary Wage Increase for Personal Support Workers

As of October 28, 2021: Ontario Further Extending Temporary Wage Increase for Personal Support Workers until March 31, 2022.

Passport Funding

All PSW Wage Enhancement eligible invoices will need to be submitted no later than April 30, 2022, for Passport funding.

SSAH Funding

To get this temporary support, you must apply by March 20, 2022. Applications submitted after March 20, 2022, will not be processed.

You can apply for this temporary support for expenses dating from October 1, 2020, to March 31, 2022. That means you can claim expenses incurred until March 31, 2022.
